As promised, I’ve completed the Kitchen project and am ready to reveal to you the glorious after pics! I’m just elated and in love with my kitchen! Drum-roll please…
And for comparison, this is what my kitchen looked like before.

What a difference, huh?! This was not a major remodel — only surface/cosmetic changes were made. This proves that you can get major dramatic results without investing a lot of money in your kitchen. In the next couple weeks I’ll be detailing the different projects that completed this kitchen makeover. Here are some of the highlights!
Painted Kitchen Cabinets and New Hardware

Lots of love,
Mary

Wow!! Fantastic job…it looks so beautiful! Amazing what a few simple changes can do to effect big results. You did a fantastic job! I would love a kitchen like that. =) Hope you have a wonderful day. Blessings to you, Mary!
WoW.. Mary you should be very proud of yourself! Beautiful..beautiful! Wish you lived closer, I would ask you to decorate for me
Love Auntie ~V
Thanks Auntie V!
Did you put the backsplash in yourself?
Hi Alicia, Yes I actually did. If you can believe it, the backsplash was way easier than painting the cabinets. I’ll detail my process in a later post
Wow! That is amazing. Ok someday I’ll do that, now I know how awesome it’ll look!
Thanks Cindy!
LOVE IT!!!!!!! Beautiful!! I love the vase with the flowers! Where did you find that?
Thanks Stephanie! I think the flowers are from Pier One, and the vase is from years ago so I really have no idea. I love to use large arrangements with a lot of height to create a big statement!
Beautiful….nothing quite like a white kitchen.
Happy Day
incredibly beautiful now!

I’m in awe of your beautiful kitchen. My husband and I are about to embark on a kitchen redo and I love love love your colors. Do you know what color your granite is? Thanks!
Hi Kate, thanks so very much! I’m not sure. It was put in by the builders and we aren’t the original owners. I’ve seen this same granite around, so it may be something the is stock at Home Depot or Lowes. I love that when you look closely, there are brown tones as well as grey and black, mixed with a soft green!
Beautiful! Love how much paint and bright backsplash can impact a kitchen.
Lovely! Also this Amy seem like an odd question but what are the dimensions of your kitchen?
Hi Audra, the width from the wall behind the fridge on the left across to the window wall on the right is approx 16.5ft. Does this help?
Looks fantastic Mary. I have the exact same ‘before’ kitchen and am looking to do it up. Thanks for the inspiration. Am now following to hear all about each project. (popping over from Tip Junkie)

Beautiful and inspiring.
Beautiful! Always loved white – classic!
Looks great!! Was there a specific kind of paint you used for cabinets? Did you have to sand the cabinets?
Hi Stephanie, if you check out my post, I’ve linked to the tutorial I used which details the specific paint and sanding process.
I love the colours you went with and think it is much better suited than the original. I do have one slight suggestion for your readers. Painting your doors isn’t the best thing out there. If you plan on staying in your home for a long time, splurge on the new kitchen! It will also increase the value of your home.
Paint will not last very long. Depending on what you are painting over you may end up decrease the value of the kitchen. Ex. You have real maple or oak doors and you paint them.
My father is a cabinet maker, so I have seen a lot.
The kitchen transformation rocks!
